Casino is a great movie with lots of captivating themes. Robert De Niro is excellent as always, but Sharon Stone really stands out as Ginger McKenna. The story is a mob drama that lays bare the predatory nature of the mafia centered in Las Vegas and it’s ties to corrupt politicians, Teamsters unions, and the Midwest mafia. There are a lot of violent scenes, but it’s done in a style that adds to the suspense rather than shock value. It’s probably Scorsese’s most disturbing film in some ways, but that doesn’t take away from the quality of the acting or the plot.
Casinos are carefully designed to manipulate customers’ behavior, using a variety of elements such as lighting and visual media to shape the environment. The goal is to get customers engrossed in the games and increase their spending. This is accomplished by putting games in cozy spaces that make them feel at home and creating maze-like walkways with enticing slot machines to distract customers.
There is much more to a casino than just the gaming floor, including luxurious hotels, cutting-edge technology, exciting events and entertainment, spa and health club amenities, and delicious restaurants. Focus your marketing on these unique offerings and how they set you apart from competitors so that potential guests will know to book their stay with you.
