The Ministry of Social Services, Lloydminster Service Centre, is seeking a well-organized, highly motivated, energetic and proactive individual to provide administrative support in a challenging and busy work environment.
You will respond to in-person and telephone inquiries; provide forms and applications to clients; direct clients to appropriate workers; format, proof-read, enter and retrieve information using word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications; handle incoming mail brought to the reception desk, release cheques to clients; and perform other general office tasks as required.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of current computer applications such as word process, spreadsheet software, database and operating systems and/or computer hardware; and office and administrative procedures, protocols and equipment. They will also know how to operate and maintain office equipment (such as photocopiers, telephones, fax machines, printers) in order to minimize down time and ensure efficient usage. The successful candidate will also be thorough, conscientious and attentive to detail to ensure quality work.
